Many tell us we should pity most Russians because they live under the threat of jail or death from their government. Others say most Russians support Comrade Putin and the invasion of Ukraine and the killing of men, women and children. Which is it?

While most Russian oppositionists get arrested for “fakes about the Russian army” for standing with a poster “No to war”, 58-year-old Oksana Senedzhuk from the occupied Sevastopol (Crimea) was accused of conducting surveillance and passing intel to Ukrainian intelligence about the deployment of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison by Russia on Dec.26, 2024.

The truth is that Russians are living under the threat of jail or death from their government — and they support comrade Putin, the invasion of Ukraine, and the killing of men, women, and children. It’s both of these things.

The fear of cruelty from their own government makes Russians insensitive and heartless to the suffering of others. Life in poverty drives them to be excited about being part of something great — Great Russia, which other countries and peoples fear.

Russia’s demand for respect is literally based only on its ability to cause death and destruction. The Russian citizens are proud of that, because they simply have nothing else to be proud of.
