What is the most disturbing aspect of the Ukraine War?

What sometimes disturbs me is when I think about the endgame, the possible outcome of this war.

All the options are bad:

As long as Putin and his gang are in power, the war will continue. Ukraine has to win this thing.

However, the day Russia faces defeat, they will resort to using chemical weapons, tactical nukes, or maybe come up with some other mad idea.

Of course, this only will accelerate the Russian regimes downfall. Russia will fall apart. That this process will take place in a peaceful manner is as good as impossible. The wars in Yugoslavia are a good indicator of what happens when you try to keep different people together in one state who all want to be independent.

There will be wars for many years and a lot of innocent people will die.

Unfortunately, from all possible endgame scenarios, this is the most favorable one. NATO and the West will be stronger than ever and Ukraine will be a free country.

Should Russia somehow prevail, on the other hand, dark times will come for all of Europe. Encouraged from their victory over Ukraine, Russia will soon put an eye on their next target. Every country in the region that isn’t in NATO will be at risk to be “swallowed”, Moldova being the first.

After that, there will be a time of unrest, economic chaos and insecurity, not only in Eastern Europe but worldwide that may last for decades.

It’s clear which option is the better one: to get rid of Putin and kick the Russians out of Ukraine. After that, we need to support every territory in Russia that wants to break away from Moscow’s rule.
